Within ten minutes drive of Flookburgh is Grange over Sands an Edwardian seaside town with views across Morecambe Bay, lovely ornamental gardens and variety of shops and cafes and banks. Here you can stroll along the promenade, which has spectacular views across the bay and the Kent Estuary.

Close by is Holker Hall, which has stunning gardens,a deer park, wild flower meadows and views over the Leven Estuary towards Ulverston as well as a shop, restuarant and motor museum

Cartmel Village and Priory are about 2 miles away. This is a very pretty village and lovely to walk round, looking at the old cottages and gift shops. There are several pubs and cafes to relax in and ample parking on the racecourse. Nearby are numerous walks.

Other nearby attractions include Humphrey Head - Limestone promontary extending into Morecambe Bay, part of which is a Nature reserve. Local legend says that this is where the last wolf in England was killed.
