Within ten minutes drive of Flookburgh is Grange over Sands
A pretty Edwardian Seaside Town with views across Morecambe Bay, the lovely ornamental gardens and variety of shops and cafes. Here you can stroll along the promenade, which has spectacular views across the bay and estuary of the River Kent.

Walking, horse-riding, bird-watching, golf, fishing, sailing, cycling, mountain-biking. Further details of these activities can be obtained from the local tourist information office in Grange over Sands.
Close by are Holker Hall, Gardens and Deer Park, which are open to the public from April to October.
Cartmel Village and Priory are about 2 miles away. This is a very pretty village and lovely to walk round, looking at the old cottages and gift shops. There are several pubs and cafes to relax in and ample parking on the racecourse. Nearby are numerous walks.

Humphrey Head - Limestone promontary extending into Morecambe Bay, part of which is a Nature reserve. Local legend says that this is where the last wolf in England was killed.
